Local Rules

Stray balls landing in neighbouring properties must be reported to the Pro Shop for Health and Safety analysis.
Please avoid slow play at all times
1. OUT OF BOUNDS (Rule 18.2)

i) Beyond all hedges or fences forming the perimeter of the course with the exception of a section to the right of the 13th fairway.
ii) The hedges or fences each side of the road and public footpath passing through the course, even if the ball comes to rest on another part of the course that is in bounds for other holes.
iii) Beyond the white posts designating the car park (adjacent to the Pro shop) and the driveway to the left of 18th hole, the pitching and practice area to the right of the 17th fairway and the path from the clubhouse to the 1st tee and also to the right of the line of posts to the right of the 13th fairway.

2. PROTECTION OF YOUNG TREES ( Rule 16):
Relief must be taken if a tree or shrub, marked with a stake or plastic protector interferes as defined in Rule 16.1 from such a tree or bush is designated as a no play zone, the player must take relief under Rule 16.1f
STAKED TREES:
Relief must be taken if a tree or shrub, marked with a stake or plastic protector interferes with a player’s stance or area of their intended swing.

3. ABNORMAL COURSE CONDITIONS (Rule 16.1b):
Relief may be taken under rule 16.1b from;
i) All pathways including edgings.
ii) Water connection points and drainage covers.
iii) If a player’s ball is in the general area and there is an obvious interference from tree roots that are in part of the general area cut to fairway height or less or within two club lengths in the first cut of rough, the roots are treated as ground under repair. The player may take relief under rule 16.1b .
But interference does not exist if the tree roots only interfere with the player’s stance.

4. FIXED SPRINKLER HEADS (Rule 16):

Relief from interference by all fixed sprinkler heads may be taken under rule 16.1
The player also has these extra options to take relief when fixed sprinkler heads are close to the putting green and on the line of play:
Ball in general area: The player may take free relief under rule 16.1b if an immovable obstruction is:
On the line of play and is: Within two club lengths of the putting green and within two club lengths of the ball.
There is no relief under this local rule if the player chooses a line of play that is clearly unreasonable.

5. PENALTY AREAS (Rule 17):

i) Yellow penalty areas marked with (yellow lines or yellow stakes) Rules17.1d (1) and (2).
ii) Red penalty areas marked with (red lines or red stakes) Rule 17.1d(3).

6. INSURANCE:

All golfers must be covered by public liability insurance.

7. ACCIDENTS OR INJURY:

Any accident, injury near miss or balls landing in adjoining properties must be reported to the Professional or the Clubhouse.

8. BUGGIES AND TROLLEYS:

Buggies must follow designated routes. Buggies and Trolleys are not allowed on the Tees, Greens or between the areas immediately between Greens and Bunkers.

9. COURSE ETIQUETTE/STANDARDS OF CONDUCT (Rule 1.2):

All players are expected to play in the spirit of the game Rule 1.2a and comply with our clubs Bye Laws and Code of Conduct with regards to Course Etiquette and Dress Standards.

THE CLUB BYE LAWS PROHIBIT TRESPASS ON ADJOINING PROPERTIES.
